Schools

There are many ways for your school to take part. Have a look at the different options below.

Partner School Program

Each year, Digital Explorer and UNRWA work with select schools to support them through the project and journey. This involves a high level of support, school partnership management and coordination and an integral communications component that sees filmmakers and digital media professionals record ‘Student Voice’ films and film each of the Skype interactions that take place.

The program runs for approximately 12 weeks, and the current focus is partnering schools in UNRWA’s Fields of Operations in the Near East with schools in the USA and Europe.

The Partner School Program relies on funding and schools are invited to register their interest for programs starting in 2017.

Associate School Program

Working with the British Council and Skype in the classroom, My Voice-My School is also open to schools with existing school partnerships who have completed the My Voice-My School training course. This is a two-day full-time course. If you are interested in hosting this course for your organization, school or district, please register your interest.

Associate schools are encouraged to use the Skype in the classroom (Microsoft Educator Community) or the British Council’s Connecting Classrooms platform to identify and coordinate with a partner school.

Open School Program

All schools are welcome to participate at an ‘Open School’ level, dipping in and out of the program as time allows. Teachers may wish to use some of the lessons on Child Rights, the Global Goals, or adapt the skills included to project-based learning programs and research projects.

While the partner school programs are running, any teacher or educator can post questions on behalf of their students, using the hashtag #myvoicemyschool.
